1947 Gibson J-45

£8,995.00

Hi everyone, Chris here … owner of Wye Fret! The time has come to sell my pride and joy!

This is my beloved 1947 Gibson J45. I have owned this guitar for a number of years and it's truly beautiful in every sense of the way! Every time you put this guitar in your hands it's like greeting an old friend ... it will literally write songs for you!

With Stunning checking occurring across the body and neck, being 77 years of age she's never looked so good. The original Nut will be found inside the Original case along with some rivets (as pictured). There has once upon a time been a pickup temporarily fitted to the guitar but don't worry ... the body has not been drilled or modified in anyway to fit the pickup to preserve its beauty, instead they used a micro jack input meaning that an original looking strap peg could remain. The wiring for said pickup however remains for the next owner to either remove or make use of.

The guitar in my ownership has only ever been in and out of professional world class recording studios ... never on the road, it's too special.

The sound of this guitar is truly difficult to put into words but it has 100% got to be one of the finest acoustics i've ever had the pleasure of playing let alone owning!

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
