62’ Fender Strat Re-Fin
We have an absolute treat for you this week! Just landed is this absolute honey of a pre CBS 62’ Strat.
The guitar was originally purchased in Barratts of Manchester (Adrian Barratt) by former owner Wayne Fontana. Fontana was a member of a well known band ‘The Mindbenders’ … it was then purchased by a member of the Irish band ‘Savannagh Show Band Brothers’ and has believed to have them owned this guitar for 50 years!!
The guitar has a date stamp of March 1962 and is mostly original with the exception of 90’s pots, professional refinish in sunburst, back plate, bridge pickup re-wound, scratch plate and machine heads (original machine heads are in the case).
This guitar has to be seen to be appreciated, it’s beautifully thin C shape neck plays like a dream!
It’s a very rare opportunity to own such a beautiful guitar with an amazing catalogue of history.
